No Go Zones or No Go Areas are not new to the world government but they are coming to the forefront of mainstream news. The type of No Go Zones that are becoming a factor in Western Europe are pocket areas where the government can no longer provide basic social services like policing firefighting or emergency medical services.
Back in the day when you think of No Go Zones you might think of them as jungle territories being controlled by paramilitary groups in places like Colombia. In todays reality No Go Zones are often urban area communities where residents make their own laws and exert authority on their own behalf shunning or even threatening government laws. The areas may be barricaded or ill-defined making it more difficult for police and other law enforcement agencies to intervene in burgeoning criminal activity. Often culturally influenced No Go Zones may change rapidly. Because of the increasing number of No Go Zones in Europe and other countries where you wouldnt expect them we could start to see these areas affect upcoming elections. More and more European politicians are starting to try to develop a strategy to regain control of the affected areas. Currently citizens are being told to avoid the areas to ensure safety.
Borders Open Up
Chancellor Angela Merkel made the decision in 2015 to open the countrys borders allowing an unprecedented number of immigrants into the country. Many of the immigrants are Muslim. Although its not comfortable for some to consider it is a fact that many of the No Go Zones in Europe coincide with areas where there are large Muslim populations.
Until the publication of Raheem Kassams
No Go Zones: How Sharia Law Is Coming to a Neighborhood Near You Germany kept mum about the number of No Go Zones in the country despite the fact that they had existed for decades.
Merkel had previously avoided public admission of the existence of No Go Zones in Germany.
Earlier this year Merkel was asked to define No Go Zones and why they must be eradicated or controlled. It means for example that there cannot be any no-go areas that there cannot be areas where no-one dares to go but there are such places" she said. One has to call them by name and do something about it."
Merkel went onto say that there needs to be a zero-tolerance policy for policing all areas of the country. Many European countries have weighed in on the lack of policing in their countries stating that they are often out-numbered. Responding to emergency calls has changed dramatically often requiring several officers when previously one would have been sufficient.
A
German newspaper survey found that a majority of Germans questioned feared No Go Zones and felt that police needed to do a better job of taking care of organized crime.
The EU Speaks
Merkels admission to the existence of No Go Zones prompted others to voice their stance on the issue. Hungarian Prime Minister
Viktor Orbn has consistently reiterated his long-held stance of No Go Zones in the EU. Orban has been calling for stricter security of European borders stating that the hard-won freedoms of the EU could be in jeopardy. Orban and like-minded thinkers have been criticized by numerous organizations regarding his policy including the BBC.
It cannot be disputed that there has been an influx of immigrants into the EU in recent years. Germany and the UK
arent the only regions affected by No Go Zones. Other locations in the forefront are Sweden Belgium Spain and France. Of course No Go Zones are not restricted to Europe. Other countries recently faced with the same issue include Palestine Brazil Kenya Israel South Africa and Malaysia. Historic regions include Northern Ireland Mozambique Hong Kong Mexico Pakistan Turkey and Rhodesia.
Currently there is no solid plan on how to regain control of the areas within Europe. Lack of identification ties the hands of police attempting to restore order and deters immigration services from executing deportation.
