1. A New FBI Investigation
Better late than never. The FBI criminal investigation that is. Against Hillary Clinton. Again. Regarding e-mails linked to Hillarys private server with potential information about criminal charges on national security issues. Again. The element of novelty at the time was that the e-mail messages did not belong to Hillary Clinton but they were to and from her top aide Huma Abedin. Related to Humas correspondence with her (now estranged) husband Anthony Weiner. About his already famous and scandalous sexting to underaged girls.
But lets roll back. On July 5 2016 the then-FBI director James Comey concluded that in the scandal of the over 30000 e-mails Hillary Clinton acted recklessly" but not criminally." As we have argued before negligence does not exclude criminal behavior. On Thursday October 27 2016 Comey was briefed about the new situation by the FBI agents. On Friday October 28 he sends a letter to the U.S. Congress (informing his boss Loretta Lynch from the Department of Justice but not following her advice not to send the letter) where he said that his agency was investigating additional e-mails that appeared relevant to the Hillary Clinton e-mail case. Later on he sent a second letter this time to his employees explaining his decision.
Two personal notes before I move on.
(1) It was about time then for Hillary the incumbent to be the focus of these crucial elections. Since the end of August 2016 when both parties conventions had chosen their presidential nominees all the mainstream media was talking about was Trump the newcomer his character and his political views as a private citizen. Not so much about Hillary and her legacy" during her over 30 years of public service" as a peoples elected representative.
(2) Isnt it amazing how much damage two philandering husbands (Bill and Tony) could do to the future of two ambitious women (Hillary and Huma) but who decided to remain married with them for political convenience?
But lets move on.
2. A New Narrative
The first reaction of the liberal mainstream media (CNN in particular) clearly embarrassed by the new development was to quickly impose the narrative downplaying the whole thing in the sense that:
(a) it was not Hillary who wrote the new e-mails;
(b) we dont know if there is anything significant in those e-mails" and
(c) when asked about that by reporters Hillarys reactions were: (1) to state that it was imperative" for the FBI to explain and release all that information" and (2) when asked about what those e-mails were about to roll her eyes with the sincerity that characterizes her so well look in a direction different than the one the question was coming from and utter ingenuously: Your guess is as good as mine!"
Two more points here.
(1) Hillary (as in Hypocrite) Clinton knew very well that the FBI will NOT release all" or any of the e-mails because:
(a) that was an ongoing investigation; this is why in his letter Comey had not referred to any closing of the prior investigation" in order to reopen" it;
(b) it is against the law to release e-mails with information about criminal charges or related to national security issues.
So that Hillary Clinton (as in Corrupt) hoped that the new embarrassing episode would go away (like many others before) or in the worst case would be expedited after the November 8 2016 (remember Benghazi?) after she would have become president-elect. After which the whole issue would have been fixed."
Just like it happened in the Benghazi cover-up story developed on the commemorative day of 9/11 in 2012 just two weeks before the presidential election (won by Obama).
And just like James Comey alluded when he admitted in his 2018 anti-Trump vitriolic memoir that he was convinced that Hillary Clinton would win the presidential election. See VIDEO here.
It resembles Obama cliques modus operandi. And Hillary was part of the clique.
(2) Hillary Clinton (as in Conniver) lied (again!) to the reporter when she said disingenuously Your guess is as good as mine" about Huma and Anthonys e-mails. She had way more knowledge than the FBI itself because Huma could have provided her (if she hadnt done it already) with valuable information about her and her sleazy husbands e-mails. Clarification: when I said sleazy husband" I meant Anthony not Bill.
3. A New and Last Gate of Hell
Donald Trump on the other hand described that Hillarys new saga development as bigger than Watergate."
Alan Dershowitz and other CNN lefty pundits were extremely quick to rebut that this is not Watergate" where about 40 people were arrested for breaking national security issues and a Republican president had to resign. This is true. But its also true that it doesnt need to be another Watergate and it doesnt really matter.
This is WEINERGATE. And since Hillary herself claimed it was a factor in her election defeat it must have been a Super Gate" on its own right. And this might turn into a new standard according to which corrupt politicians rapacious in their continuous quest to grab even more power (pretty much like Hillary Clinton) will be judged and hopefully repudiated from public life from now on.
So as I said better late than never. Also for another reason. The elections should have been about Hillary Clinton from the very beginning. It was she who was the incumbent there. It was she who had been meddling around in the top-notch politics for over 30 years. It was she who should have persuaded the American voter that she had the gravitas to lead the country on the right direction. Unfortunately her lack of charisma vision originality and legacy were all stashed by the mainstream media. The same media who instead went ballistic with the non-politician and private citizen Donald Trumps shortcomings in a concerted effort to belittle and neutralize the free will of half of the U.S. population willing to change the Washington DC elites swamp and its business as usual" politicking.
And this is why in spite of the less-than-a-week period before Election Day it was better than never that the Weinergate happened. And the media was forced to react. For the 13 million American voters who casted their ballot in early elections that was obviously not an issue any more (unless their conscience played a role). Did it matter for the undecideds on Election Day? It is possible.
Anyhow Weinergate became another Gate of Hell" for Hillary Clinton. It was about to be her last one.
Especially when the market stocks in response to the event took a plunge.
Especially when the most recent polls indicated that Trump was dead even or ahead of Clinton in battleground states like Colorado Florida Nevada North Carolina and Ohio (after the long-debated 12 advance Hillary used to have just a week before).
And especially when well-known and respected Democrat political analysts like Doug Schoen or Pat Caddell announced publicly that they either would put their support for Hillary on hold or that her ship" was going down like the Titanic.
