There is plenty of news coverage regarding how many people are leaving blue states for red states. This includes many Democrats. They are escaping high taxes high crime rates and increasing lower standards of living partly due to the acceptance of homelessness and the filth and drug use that comes with it. These living standards make people question why they are paying so much to governments that dont address the big issues that affect the quality of life for the population at large. As a result they find states that have much lower (sometimes no) tax rates less crime and dont allow tent cities." These states tend to be run by Republicans. Mobility is a great thing in the U.S. If you dont like your surroundings you can leave and find someplace better. The problem is that many still vote for Democrats upon arrival in their new red state.
It is confusing and frustrating to conservatives how these individuals dont understand that the policies of the Left and the Democratic Party created the high priced squalor that made them want to leave. In places like San Francisco LA and Seattle when there is an election and an opportunity to change the direction of their crumbling surroundings they continue to vote for another leftist Democrat that keeps perpetuating the problem and often making it worse.
It would be nice if those Democrats who relocate into red states would look around their new surroundings and acknowledge the policy makers of that state have created a better way of life than the policy makers of the state they just left. They arent taxing them through the roof to fund large social welfare programs. They arent lenient on crimes that affect the community. They arent a sanctuary for people crossing the border illegally. There are no tent cities in downtown areas with homeless people doing drugs and defecating on the streets. Why? Because conservatives want to conserve what is considered a civil and ordered society. We are a first world country and some of our biggest cities run by Democrats essentially mirror third world countries. Compare pictures of areas in downtown L.A. to impoverished countries across the globe. There is not much of a difference. In those countries however they dont codify the problem by doing things like giving out free needles to drug addicts in a warped conception of compassion and safety.
These new transplants should know that red states also have plenty of Democrat politicians in waiting who would like nothing more than to copy the policies of the other blue states. The ideology and policy remains the same across state lines. Democrats moving from a blue state to a red state should consider voting to secure the policies that create the environment that they want to live in rather than voting just for the Democrat party.
For the lifelong Democrats who conclude they could never vote for a Republican heres some advice: Dont vote and say you did. Its a cheap white lie that no one gets hurt from. That way you can save face within your Democrat circle and help keep your new environment from becoming your old one.
