Shen Yun Dance and Music Troupe Performs in Mesa to Sold-Out Audience

The beautiful Shen Yun dance and music troupe performed in Mesa Wednesday evening to a sold-out audience at the Ikeda Theater, showcasing the beauty of Chinese culture and history for over 5,000 years. It was part of a series of shows the troupe is putting on in Arizona in February and March, seeking to revive traditional Chinese culture.

The talented young dancers performed Chinese Classical Dance and various ethnic tradition dances, featuring popular tales from history such as the Monkey King. Some of the skits revealed how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has devastated China, showing the CCP arresting citizens and live harvesting organs from them.

The dancers, who were mostly trained at the Fei Tian Academy and College in New York, performed jawbreaking acrobatic flips and straddle jumps, while wearing intricate hand-embroidered costumes.

Shen Yun patented their unique backdrop, which shows shifting digital backgrounds featuring landscapes and various individuals sometimes flying through the air. The live actors appear to leave the stage by leaping into the backdrop, then reemerge seamlessly as if they are coming from out of the backdrop.
