Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) is under fire for allegedly engaging in sexual acts with staffers and sexually harassing others. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL-13) said four women told her they experienced “multiple and uncomfortable/inappropriate advances/comments/touching, etc.” from Gallego. Other sources told the New York Post that Gallego engaged in sexual relations with two Democratic Congressional aides in Texas.
Luna submitted an ethics complaint against Gallego regarding the four women, but it was dismissed. Gallego responded to the dismissal by labeling the accusations “right-wing conspiracies peddled by far-right activists like Anna Paulina Luna, the White House, and their allies,” demanding an apology.
Instead of apologizing, Luna pushed back harder. “These are not conspiracy theories,” she posted on X. “You’re a gross example of representation. Need I mention you leaving your pregnant wife during your Campaign for Senate? There are plenty of people who know about your antics. The good news about DC is everyone talks, and eventually the reporters come forward with your texts. Do yourself a favor and keep raising for your legal defense fund. Once a creep always a creep, and you’re gonna need it.”
Gallego filed for divorce from his first wife Kate Gallego, the mayor of Phoenix, when she was nine months pregnant, 10 days before Christmas in 2016. He met his current wife, Sydney, at the June 2018 Congressional Baseball Game, and they married in December 2019. It is not known when Gallego allegedly engaged in dalliances with the staffers, however the sources said he was not married at the time.
