First of all, I would like to say, I hope everyone had a great Easter/Resurrection Sunday, and just remember that Jesus Christ Has Risen…and Jesus Christ Has Risen Indeed.
This recent Easter weekend, WSJ At Large with Gerry Baker (which airs weekly on Fox Business Network) discussed the role of religion/faith in the current culture with Catholic Bishop Robert Barron and Rabbi Brad Hirschfield who is co-President (with Irwin Kula) of the National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership (CLAL), and self identifies as an Orthodox Jew (and is the most conservative of the main three branches of Judaism). Rabbi Hirschfield admits that we as humans are indeed are in crises as we bought into the secular faith. Yet, we can’t cope. Faith at its best according to Hirschfield is more helpful than when Faith is at its worst...and truly understands Faith and Religion from both sides.
Meanwhile Bishop Barron says that the Christian Faith and the Cross of Jesus Christ represent everything that all humans fear and that every fear we have was put on that very cross that Jesus himself was put on. Torture, Physical Pain, Cruelty, violence, institutional justice, and the fear of death are among the biggest fears man faces in this life. Every crisis that the human race has faced and will face has been resolved on that cross, according to Barron.
In spite of the thinking that God does not belong in the 21st Century world, Barron warns of the dangers of moving away from God as the Western world has been doing (it should be noted that Africa, Asia and South America; Christianity is growing); no thanks to western secularism dominating the zeitgeist in modern Western civilization.
“Without God, you don’t have a proper ground for moral value,” Barron said on WSJ At Large. “If God is the supreme value, in which these other values are grounded. When God is kicked out of the picture, theirs a relativism that takes hold in the society and we see plenty of evidence of that.” Barron says that this relativism is a recipe of disaster for our culture, and he claims he saw enough of this disaster in the life of many young people today who are adrift and with no purpose. In relativism people make up certain values as they move along in the life. Bottom line, there is no anchor to hold a person together and keep them in check. Hirschfield also observes that faith is growing in places that we in the western would prefer not to live if given the choice.
While the Atheist/Agonistic/Skeptic types are not the fasted growing faith, the ones who call themselves the Non-Religious is created an evangelism field for the not only the non-believing infidels but also for the political faith/movement of Progressive Leftist Marxism which many Freethinkers so called are inherited to. Christians, take note and you need to step up.
One of the biggest causes that the Atheists have jumped on is the sexual revolution and codify it into law. Not only they are the biggest advocates of abortion, but also the LGBTQ bandwagon and whatever sexual deviances they want to decriminalize. So far have taken what ever they want when given inches by either their allies and/or those who compromise with them. The Freedom From Religion Foundation is a group of Atheists who want to cleanse any religious expression among the halls of government, and while some our founders were not Christians, they supported freedom of speech and allowed for faith to thrive…while at the same time making sure that a State Church was never set up. Our government was never meant to be purely secular as FFRF wants and claims it to be. Sadly, we are seeing how pagan we are truly becoming and FFRF is collaborating on this brave new world for America.
While faith is being cleansed in anything that is government, FFRF and its allies allow for sexual perversion and why you can’t pray in school…you sure learn about the sex acts at young and younger ages and if you are a boy that feels like a girl…well the public school can help you not only be content with those feelings but put you on the path to letting you function in society as such. One of those people is a young high student named Will Larkins who feels like a woman and likely transition to actually becoming trans in a few years. He, the radical left, and The Walt Disney Company have all come out and are attempting to push back on the parental rights law that was signed by Florida governor Ron DeSantis, by lying to the public that you can’t say “gay” in the public-school classroom. Sadly, the FFRF types are supporting the teachers who want to groom if not exploit certain children who might express unusual feelings at school. On the Easter broadcast of FFRF’s Freethought Matters TV program (which can be seen on YouTube), Larkins worn a women’s undergarment and nothing else for the interview with FFRF’s co-President Annie Laurie Gaylor and Dan Barker. That should alert a discerning mind who fears God, knows right or wrong, supports parental rights, real liberty and freedom, or any combination of the above that FFRF is not only a God hating organization full of radical leftists, but a front group for decriminalizing sexual perversion (including abortion) and vices.
Charles G Trumbull was one of the few authors who wrote a book putting anti-vice advocate and one time United States Postal Inspector Anthony Comstock in a positive light. Comstock was a God-fearing man who wanted to see God’s Law upheld in the macro culture, knowing it would keep communities happy, healthy and stable. Still the likes of Robert G. Ingersoll (a freethinker in his time) would come out against Comstock’s cause and supported the ideal of free-love (getting the government out of matters of not only sexual relations but also the support of birth control and adultery), thinking that allowing it would not have an impact on the macro culture and liberating adults to make such decisions on their own. In today’s west we have seen the impact of promoting free love and alternative sexual lifestyles has brought us to, and the west is now on the decline. Biggest group to suffer…the children, but the left don’t care…as they have snuffed many of them via abortion.
The Gaylors and Barkers of the world who have picked up were Ingersoll left off have the upper hand knowing it or not are ushering in America’s downfall in the name of Freedom From Religion. If they don’t know and/or don’t care, then all their focus is solidifying the free-love/sexual revolution of the 20th Century. Either way, the results and effects are not good. Personally, I believe that FFRF is really a stealth Marxist Communist group. FFRF will do anything to make sure that everyone accepts abortion as a necessity, good for society and a blessing for humanity, and defending the likes Ida Craddock and Madame Restell. Both choose to take their own lives rather than spend time in prison, thanks to Comstock…who was not anti-woman but anti-vice and those who were pushing it.
Margaret Sanger sadly was able to escape justice and return to America after Comstock’s death and corrupt the American culture with little to no resistance…much to the delight of American Marxist Left…and make no mistake; Sanger herself was a Marxist. Notice how Annie focuses on sexual ethics when it comes to her contempt of faith and why women must be free from it in order to have a good life. Her mother Anne Nicol had no shame either, an enjoyed showing off her legs in a time when that was not appropriate. Women Rebels…Right? Granted these days is no big deal, but how far is too far? We Can’t Have Nice Things…people especially men notice.
Now Hollywood and the left while pounding the final nails into religion’s casket, they are ready to take their vice above ground and mainstream it. It will only hurt the most vulnerable people in the west…especially our children. Sadly, the Marxists never liked family unless they themselves aka The State are the supernannys, mothers, fathers, and Gods.
This takes to 2022, and once again we remember Christ’s death and resurrection. If we don’t turn our eyes on Jesus, and get our knees and cry out to Father God for mercy and ask his son Jesus to save us…the continued downslide of our country will continue by people who are not afraid to burn in Hell. Take it as a declaration of war against God, Jesus Christ, and his law. They want to do evil, they want abortion, and they want sexual deviance and vices, they want to profane, they want to do what makes them feel good regardless of the consequences. That is what makes people mad…telling them they can’t feel good, and they don’t care who they hurt in order to get that immediate pleasure.
Christ has won the war, but the battle still continues, and if we don’t have a revival in America…the future of this nature will be grim.
