Social media has been a blessing but it also has been a curse. It can make friends it can keep friends and it even can and does end friendships. I have meet people on social media and I have ended friendships on it too myself (or they pulled the trigger). It seems that with a monitor in the way of any physical contact you can express who you are and for the most part get away with it. Just make sure you dont tell too much about who you really are....just saying.
In our current political climate the tech industry has come out as advocates of the Democratic Party and the progressive cause. They are coming down hard on those who dont honor and holdup their worldviews. They have fired workers for calling out their superiors agendas and what has gone behind closed doors. They have also deplatformed websites and basically prevented them from making a living. I used to work for one of those sites but not writing about politics.
They have taken the next step by going after certain conservative figures. Just recently Steven Crowder was stripped of his advertising revenue because of his politically incorrect comedy coupled with having the wrong political worldview. Voxs Carlos Maza has been hunting and targeting conservatives on the worldwide web for his cause of advancing the LGTBQ and Marxist Statism. Google finally caved to Maza and Crowder can no longer make any money of the videos he posts on YouTube. Now if only we find a way to hurt Steven Colbert really bad...that man I hate with all my heart.
Just this week in an attempt to protect its Lords and Masters YouTube pulled a video produced by Project Veritas that exposes the dark agenda of Google in their attempt to thwart the next Trump situation. People who are looking for the video on YouTube got the message that it was taken down; due to a privacy claim by a third party. I say that is a bunch of BS. Its a privacy claim by a FIRST party. This was the second video to be taken down by Google within a two week period.
The last thing I want to see happen to these social media sites is for our government to step in and declare social media a public utility but if they continue to do what they do that will be the end game and these people who run the sites will only continue to consummate their relationship with the iron fisted state. However I dont think we cant or should run away and create our own social media sites that are for conservatives only and/or for Evangelical Christian only etc etc. In the long run social media as a public utility and knowing how the government at large loathes conservatives they will demand inclusiveness and demand people that dont fit in these groups to be accommodated. They will be allowed to come in and eventually corrupt and destroy these platforms intended for a certain audience. In the end their is no diversity of thought with progressives its just a worldview in which it declares war with a Holy God and his Holy Law as they seek their personal pleasures and dont care if it hurts them or others. They just want to feel good in the moment. The never ending revolution that was declared by Karl Marx himself.
We have to stand up and fight for our God given rights here on social media and demand that social media either declares themselves a platform in which they must allow for freedom of thought and freedom of speech (within reason and not allowing anything that is already declared criminal) or declare themselves to be a publisher in which they have right to censor any worldview and/or people they dislike.
