A new political scandal of epic proportions has emerged already. In short it is about spying on some prominent American citizens including a presidential candidate (Donald Trump) of the opposition (Republican) party during the 2016 elections where federal agencies (like FBI DOJ and IRS) were used as political weapons.
Before and after Trumps victory Obama appointees of the respective agencies (including Hillary Clinton herself the Democratic party presidential candidate) have concocted a Russian collusion dossier" and investigation against the duly elected president in what some political analysts described as the first coup dtat in the history of the United States. All this has been exposed in a sizeable and varied documentation including the Nunes Memo.
For no reason the Democratic president Barack Obama has finished his second mandate in 2017 in normal circumstances without resigning or being impeached.
For this no reason" reason we will call this Obamagate. But unlike Obamacare the other inheritance of the former president which will go down in flames in history Obamagate will rise up to the sky.
During the Watergate years the liberal Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein the poster boys of model journalism had captured an image of fierce fighters against the government dragon.
Where are they now? Well pretty much like Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy they are retired. However in an attempt to prove he is still relevant Carl Barnacle Boy" Bernstein called the Nunes Memo a red herring".
What happened with model journalism Mr. Bernstein? Not interested anymore to unmask the government abuses? Was it because Obama was a liberal? It doesnt fit your narrative anymore? Oh well too bad for you then.
Cornered with irrefutable evidence Democrats and media outlets are framing the biggest political scandal in the US history (involving FBI DOJ and IRS Obama appointees and operatives) as an attack on the agencies themselves blaming the Republicans. They are doing this fully aware of but purposely ignoring the fact that the FBI has two different cultures: the management culture of the career bureaucrats (a few representatives of whom have been incriminated by evidence) and the rank and file street culture of the honest and hard-working agents on the ground (the suits and the boots").
There is a sufficient amount of evidence for this mega-scandal to be called from now on by its rightful name: Obamagate.
The power abusers from the Obama administration are the problem while punishing the guilty ones and reforming the system is the solution to the problem.
For this reason all people involved in Obamagate proven to be guilty of criminal acts should be brought to justice.
For the same reason all agencies involved in Obamagate proven to have allowed and facilitated committing of criminal acts should be reformed.
In the FBIs case this means to regulate anew its activity so that J. Edgar Hoover-type of sources and methods" that politicized the act of justice (and have been prolonged by illustrious" followers like Robert Mueller and James Comey) should not be weaponized" anymore against the American people in general and presidential candidates in particular. Symbolically the former FBI directors name J. Edgar Hoover should be removed from the FBI building as many suggested over time.
There is a good reason why all these happened during this period of time. The United States of America has now a non-politician and outsider" president Donald Trump who has both the motivation and power to drain the Washington swamp of its Deep State creatures. Aside from this being a billionaire he cannot be bought.
The cleaning time is now.
