David in contrast led the Israelites by seeking Gods counsel with humility much prayer as the Psalms attest and he was described as a man after Gods own heart. He was a type of Christ.
Many of you will protest at this point asking why I must bring the Bible into a political discussion. Can I make four points regarding this? First the Bible is a historical document that gives us great insight into our current situation. Second the potter has a say in the use design and purpose of the pot. God has much to say to us about this life we live if we will just jettison our self-will. Third we are made in Gods image. This means that we are religious right down to our very core even if we do not perceive it. Fourth the claim that Jesus has on every life ever lived is always germane. The focal point of all of history is the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
And to those of you that have a science perspective or a purely naturalistic view are you really going to argue that human reasoning abstract thinking romance love beauty and the wonder of creation originated from some single cell amoeba? That borders on insanity. The Christian worldview as outrageous as it seems is the most coherent worldview out there. Let me try to validate this statement later.

It can be easily argued that due to his advocacy for abortion deficit spending the printing of money 95 million disenfranchised perfectly employable people not working right now negotiating with the terrorist nation of Iran greasing the skids for a nuclear Iran his petulant posture towards Israel Obamas refusal to close the border which gives open access for drug runners sex traffickers criminals and terrorists the power grab of 1/6th of the economy through Obamacare his strong desire to trash the Second Amendment his frontal assault on religious freedom and the First Amendment by attacking Christianity inviting illegal immigrants in to provide a future pool of low information voters to maintain Democrat Party power and the trashing of Gods design for marriage - all of this adds up to a rock solid argument that Obama cannot be counted among honorable statesmen or even among good men. Nobody wants to really come out and just say it out loud. And I am fully aware that without Gods grace and mercy I also cannot be counted among good men..
And let me interject this here: I voted for Alan Keyes. There are any number of African-Americans that would make awesome presidents: Thomas Sowell Dr. Carson Tony Dungy - the list is ample enough. So you can play the race card on me regarding Obama but it is of no account. Character and integrity mean everything. Race is simply a gift of God.
Now why would I as a Christian come along and say such things about Obama who says he is a Christian. Here is the truth shrouded by all of the smoke. Maybe Obama has made a commitment to Christ but his functional god is liberalism - - that is the drum he marches to. And his heart is with Islam. Now if we realize the fact that all three worldviews Christianity Islam and liberalism all claim to be exclusive truth then we run into the issue of idols. Technically idols are false gods or something that is more important to us than God himself. It is a violation of the very First Commandment. Our hearts always seek something to worship. Have you noticed how rabid liberals force their worldview claims on all of us? No public nativity scenes! You better not say Merry Christmas" in certain public places. We demand that two men who sodomized each other be called marriage." Pretty absurd. Liberals put man at the center of all things - the final authority. So they come up with extremes like separation of church and state" which is not found in the constitution. They make immoral demands like making faith based organizations pay for contraception despite the obvious fact that most contraception is easily accessible and relatively inexpensive. Likewise the bakers better set aside their faith and bake that cake for all manner of immoral people. Ditto with the florist.
So discernment is highly desirable here. Liberalisms primary tenets are government will solve all of our problems killing your own offspring in the womb is completely acceptable sexual boundaries are for prudish morons deficit spending is primary there is no such thing as God wisdom is gleaned from rock and roll and every man should live as he sees fit according to his own dictates (which by the way leads to real chaos as the book of Judges in the Bible explains). Are your dogs unacceptable as pets? Are your wife and daughters covered head to toe 24/7? Are you going to subject your neighbor to Sharia Law by force? Are one percent of you teaching your kids to be suicide bombers? If your wife is raped then is it entirely and completely her fault? Will you renounce your brother or wife if they convert to Christianity? Are you called to hate Jews? If you really think Islam is so wonderful then why are you not practicing its requirements wholeheartedly?
You see the truth of the matter is that liberals are sympathetic to Islam primarily because it is in opposition to Christianity and also because any opposition to Islam invites Jihad. That is probably way too much truth to digest in one sitting.
