Mark Brnovich: Let’s Talk About RINOs

A funny thing tends to happen during GOP Primaries…

The term RINO gets attached to certain candidates’ names.

Now I’m sure you know, but just in case:

RINO = Republican In Name Only…

And obviously no conservative wants to be thought of as a RINO.

Personally, I believe most candidates running as conservatives really are doing it for the right reasons…

But if you are worried about if a candidate you like might be a RINO…

Just look at their track record.

Like me, for example.

Since assuming office as the Attorney General of Arizona in 2015 I have:

Sued the Biden Administration over their halting of border wall construction.

Led a multi-state coalition lawsuit against the Biden Administration’s attempts to halt enforcement of immigration laws.

Took the Biden Administration to court over unconstitutional tax mandates in the latest Covid-19 relief bill…

Sued the Arizona Board of Regents over skyrocketing college tuition rates and also for harvesting our tax dollars and violating gift clauses…

Stood up to the Democratic National Committee at the U.S. Supreme Court and successfully defended Arizona’s common-sense laws restricting ballot harvesting and out-of-precinct voting…

Established Arizona’s first Election Integrity Unit in 2019 to “vigorously defend our state’s common sense election laws and prosecute anyone who is found to have committed voter fraud”…

Challenged the Biden administration when they tried to push a back door Green New Deal down our throats…

Stopped a serial litigator who was destroying small businesses by hitting them with copy-and-paste lawsuits for ADA infractions (the guy behind these lawsuits was later disbarred)…

Recovered over $1.5 billion on behalf of Arizona consumers, while fighting corporations and pharmaceutical companies who prey on our citizens…

Stood up for the 2nd Amendment and fought back against bans on high-capacity magazines and “proper cause” laws that would require you to seek special permission to carry a gun outside your home…

Led a 20-state brief supporting the right of Kentucky’s A.G. to defend the state’s law banning barbaric dismemberment abortions…

Defended Arizona’s pro-life laws against Planned Parenthood…

Issued a legal opinion during Covid-19 ensuring that church attendance is a Constitutionally protected activity, even during government lockdowns…

Led a 27-state effort before the Supreme Court on behalf of a public high school football coach who lost his job after he knelt with participating players and quietly prayed after the conclusion of football games…

Defended Arizona’s law prohibiting state-funded contractors from boycotting Israel…

Filed a first-in-the-nation lawsuit against the Biden Administration, fighting against their overreaching, illegal, and unconstitutional national vaccine mandate…

And defended parents’ rights and school choice.

I know, that was a lot…

But the truth is, that’s only a fraction of the actions I’ve taken since becoming Attorney General…

And it’s also why, whenever someone tries to throw the word RINO at me…

I just laugh and shake my head.

Talk is cheap. Actions are priceless.

And this is also why, when it comes to the Republican Party Primary election on August 2nd…

I sincerely hope I’ll have your vote.

My two main opponents have deep pockets but little track record…

And while I am NOT calling either of them RINOs…

I do think it’s fair to ask:

With the country in the shape it’s in…

And with our state dealing with surging inflation and floods of illegal immigrants coming across our borders…

Don’t you want someone you can truly trust representing you in Washington D.C.?
