The following is NOT a paid endorsement of either Jack Phillips and Masterpiece Cakeshop of Lakewood Colorado or the Alliance Defending Freedom.
In the year 2012 a simple humble cake designer and baker who many people outside of the Denver Metro area likely never ever heard of would have his life changed forever by two men. At the peak of summertime in July Charlie Craig and David Mullins apparently were planning to get married in Massachusetts and then return to Colorado to celebrate with their friends and family. Obergefell v. Hodges had yet to be ruled on at the Supreme Court level and Colorado prohibited same sex marriage as then outlined in the Colorado state constitution.
That did not stop Craig and Mullins who walked into
Masterpiece Cakeshop out of Lakewood Colorado and commissioned its owner Jack Phillips to make a wedding cake celebrating their upcoming same sex wedding. Phillips himself offered to sells his other baked goods and then some in his store but he made it clear to the men that out of his own conscience convictions and above all his Christian faith that he could not accept their commission. With that the two men turned into overgrown children cussed Phillips out and went on their way...but those very temper tantrums towards the Christian cake designer was a declaration of war against him.
Here is the $64000 Question to these childish cowards and other Alinskynite radicals (more on that later). Why do you want Jack Phillips to bake the cake for you? Do you really like his work either in his designs or how he makes the food? Are the bakers that cater to the LGBTQ just not as good? Was he the closest cakeshop in town for you two? I am sure their are plenty of cakeshops in the greater Denver area that would take in and embrace the LGBTQ worldview and I am not speaking about the local Safeways (i.e. Albertsons) King Soopers (Kroger) Walmarts and Targets etc in the city. I am talking about the other little mom/pop cakeshops like the one Phillips has that could cater to not only the LGBTQ Community but the LGBTQ cause of a different kind of love."
But no because these men were really shopping for someone who would not bow bend or submit to their agenda. Someone they could seek terrorize (but not kill let me make that VERY clear) persecute and eventually destroy. Once they have destroyed the lively hood of Phillips (and others who had to deal with the LGBTQ/Rainbow Jihad) then the LGBTQ/Rainbow Jihad can declare with boldness that they have declared victory and the rest of us must submit to them and their demands or else...even if those demands are lowest of the low and believe me the LGBTQ/Rainbow Jihad will dare to go low...because they think can and they want to. Romans Chapter One on display kids.
Conservatives and people of faith really need to get themselves acquainted with the legacy of Saul Alinsky and what he taught to the disciples of modern day progressive statism. Alinsky mentored our 44th President Barack Obama and wanna be President Hillary Clinton. One thing Alinsky did is that he asked his new recruits why they wanted to become community organizers. After a few answers from the students" Alinsky went into a rage like a military drill instructor and declare that you want to organize for power!" So you really dont want to help the poor and oppressed you just want to empower the mob while claiming youre helping the poor and oppressed.
So the LGBTQ was oppressed and using Alinsky and/or Alinsky styled tactics they attempted to take down Jack Phillips and gain power over those who would have dared to opposed the LGBTQ/Rainbow Jihad. However Phillips quickly touched base with
Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) based out of Scottsdale Arizona as the attacks at the state level began. With a stacked deck at the state level (including Colorados so called Human Rights Commission) Phillips was ruled against in the favor the LGBTQ but he kept going and the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) took on this high profile case. While not a perfect ruling it did push back on the Rainbow Jihad but the war still goes on as another lawsuit looms.
One rule for radicals that Alinksy laid out is in play for sure. Pick the target freeze it personalize it and polarize it. Alinksy taught his radicals well. Organize for Power. Then you can have a world with which you can parade yourself down the street like the Emperor in his new clothing...and they are not afraid to have a millstone put around their neck either. Suffer the children indeed.
This week I made my third trek up to Masterpiece Cake Shop as Salem Media Groups
710KNUS did an all day radio remote at the cakeshop standing not only for Jack Phillips but doing a day long fund drive for ADF. Without the ADF the LGBTQ would have been able to pound the final nails into the casket for Masterpiece Cakeshop; along with Jacks ability to live out his faith and to make a lively hood. If you are able please give to the ADF so they can defend not only Phillips but others they are defending in court as their enemies continue to criminalize the Judeo-Christian faith and giving them a clearer shot to dismantle our society as we know it in favor of their pagan utopia. Also if you live in the Denver area or planing a visit I encourage you to visit Masterpiece Cakeshop and you can also make your contributions to ADF and Jack Phillips himself.
Having met Jack Phillips and seeing the cakes that he bakes Phillips is not an uptight Christian. He has done Star Wars Star Trek and even Power Rangers/Super Sentai cakes. All these popular sci-fi franchises are not exactly Christian. Star Wars promotes certain ideals from Eastern beliefs Star Trek is blatantly for the most part humanistic and depending on the season Power Rangers/Super Sentai ranges from fantasy to cyberpunk but you still have a group of heroic fighters that suit up in powerful multi-color outfits and helmets in every season. Yet these very popular franchises seem to not violate Jacks conscience and convictions.
Yet their are other things that Jack Phillips will not do that violate his conscience and faith. In addition to the LGBTQ cause he will not do anything that is Halloween themed or is openly in support of the devil and/or downright in your face occultist.
That is who he is and more likely than not Jack is not going to change. His enemies might have terrorized and hurt his family good but with our help Jack Phillips has not only pushed back but he his family and his business are still standing.
