In the wake of the recent Bundy Ranch standoff the Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has placed its greedy eyes on a 90000 acres of land on the Texas / Oklahoma border. The Bundy Ranch incident which threatened to escalate into a shooting war collapsed when reports surfaced that the ulterior motive behind the attempted BLM takeover was an deal set up by Harry Reid to place solar panels on the land; something from which we can expect he stood to profit handsomely and very likely under the table. It appears likely that the reports were correct or else the standoff would have escalated. Confronted with the truth the BLM backed down but promised that this wasnt the end. It appears that this may be correct because various western state governments are now convening to take control of the federal" lands. In the case if the Bundy Ranch the family had been in possession of the land long before there was any claim of federal possessory rights. The claim that the right to administer this land and any other in a similar legal condition belongs properly to the state governments once statehood was declared is not without foundation. But there is more to this than may meet the eye immediately. At the bottom line is one simple fact that if the feds can assert preemptory rights over the Bundy land and the Texas / Oklahoma border land then there will be more claims to follow until essentially every square inch of land in the nation becomes federally controlled. Other reports have surfaced to the extent that the BLM or other agencies may attempt to use the Kelo v. City of New London decision as justification for federal seizure of other private land. This follows the federal takeover of the medical system and its attempt to transform the educational system into a tool of political indoctrination. The government personalities who favor tyranny and see themselves as the beneficiaries thereof cannot wait to see their plans come to fruition. They are moving now as rapidly as possible to create their personal utopia which is not a soft tyranny as Mark Levin projects. Instead these are people who want of police state hard tyranny in which they are the rulers and the average citizen is little better than a medieval serf.During the past several decades we have seen a number of high profile incidents of federal overreaching. The most important from a few years back are perhaps the Ruby Ridge affair the attack on the Branch Davidian enclave in Waco Texas and the kidnapping of Elin Gonzlez by Department of Justice agents so that he could be taken away from his relatives and shipped back to Cuba. More recently we have the revelation that the federal government is spying on its own citizens in the name of national security which is a nonsensical excuse for inexcusable behavior. The pattern shows a disturbing trend towards federal authorities treating citizens as criminal suspects because of their citizenship and the fact that they might wish to preserve their constitutional rights. The modern interpretation emanating from Washington DC is that no one has any rights unless they are sufficiently connected to the political machinery. This means of course that the average Joe and Jane Public may be about the have their rights revoked by the stroke of an executive pen.The pattern of federal takeovers combined with the intent to disarm the public while federal agencies who have no need for massive quantities of ammunition engage buy quantities sufficient to start a minor war cannot be greeted with anything but the gravest suspicion. After all any qualified student of history knows that Lenin Hitler Mussolini Mao Castro Pol Pot and Ho Chi Minh all advertised the best of intentions at the outset of their political adventures only to turn on their people in order to obtain the power that they almost certainly craved from the start. Their philosophical pretentions were just that; they provided an excuse to establish dictatorships.Current government complaints that the Constitution is too restrictive ignore the facts of its creation. The new American states had only recently obtained their freedom from what they viewed as British tyranny. They were taking steps to prevent it from recurring. But it can and will if as Thomas Jefferson warned the tree of liberty is not sufficiently watered with the blood of patriots and tyrants. The America that calls itself the land of the free and the home of the brave" still exists but it is increasingly difficult to find in many areas. The government of the last quarter century has done its best to stamp it out. Free people motivated by loyalty to God Family and Country are difficult to subjugate. But tyrant wannabes cant stand for that sort of people because freedom is anathema to them. Thus such people must be wiped out discredited or rendered impotent. Creating a generation of ignorant youths who are distracted by social media and reality television is a great way to achieve this. Calling true American patriots haters and racists" achieves the discrediting when it is repeated so often that a large enough number of people believe it. It is straight out of Saul Alinsky and Joseph Goebbels.Americas patriot community must be willing to fight back as is the case with potential the Texas / Oklahoma border claim. Reports have surfaced that there are some 50000 volunteer militia members who are willing to fight the takeover if it occurs. If the Sooners can raise that many people just think what Texas may be able to do. Already Texas Attorney General and the presumptive next Governor has warned the feds not to mess with Texas. They may be biting off more than they can chew if they try this stunt. The one thing that the patriot movement and its allies may take some solace in is that bullies are generally cowards underneath. Thus facing a determined and armed citizenry may be the last thing that they want to do. States ready to act in defiance of bureaucratic edicts present an even greater problem. The threat of resistance may be all that is needed to short-circuit this attempted land grab. But no one should celebrate too soon; they may have to do repeat performances on a frequent basis for some time until the feds are defanged. The argument that the power of an overwhelming government must be used to create an environment of fairness for all is a tired shopworn excuse for creating a new society of politically based royalty as happened in the Soviet Union. Americans would be well served to educate themselves to what happens when such governments come to be. History doesnt repeat itself but the patterns of history do. America must avoid the mistakes made by previous generations in order to remain a free nation.
