In defense of Joe Biden

Image Writers Note:  I wrote this back in April and with Biden still likely to win the Presidential Ticket for the Democrats (that can change however) coupled with a piece about Jessica/Jonathan Yaniv; I would like to present this piece on Intellectual Conservative. Let me say upfront that I dont want Joe Biden to be our next President. If Donald Trump is a creeper and then some then I admit that he is my creeper. Trump has advanced an anti-progressive agenda for America and with that agenda I have been supportive of our current POTUS. However facing similar situations regarding Biden myself I need to come to his defense regarding his so-called creepiness. The guy likes to show some affection and maybe certain things turn the guy on. So far I dont he has crossed the line unlike someone like Ted Kennedy or Bill Clinton has. It seems to me that Biden is in love with life wants to live and have a good time. Unless something comes out that we dont know about regarding Biden doing something sinister as Clinton and Kennedy have done then the only thing that Biden has done is make certain women uncomfortable...nothing more and nothing less. It may cost him some relationships and then some but it is not a crime unless Biden continues to press the issue. Still we need to talk about a few things. How as men do we treat women and how should we act when want to build a relationship with them? On the other hand the women should also ask themselves some questions too? How do they act around the men and maybe take into account the concept of modesty as well. What is sexual harassment and what is not? Now I think I can say that common sense tells us that you dont touch women in certain ways that are hands down absolutely sexual and I am not going to go into details. Maybe as men we have to up our guard and not openly admit what are feelings are regarding certain things about women and maybe on what their profession is how they dress how good their are at a certain athletic sport. On the flip side women especially those in the 20th Century challenged the culture norms that might have been good protections for women. Certain women in the 1940s decided to wear natural pantyhose (especially in the clear with no seam) wear shorts in the summer and even breast feed in public. Last and not least let us not forget the classic dresses spanning all time periods showing some cleavage." The women want it both ways. They want to express themselves sexually. Even Nichelle Nichols who played the original Lt. Uhura on Star Trek: The Original Series said regarding the miniskirt uniform/costume for women; Contrary to what many may think today no one really saw it as demeaning back then. In fact the miniskirt was a symbol of sexual liberation. More to the point though in the twenty-third century you are respected for your abilities regardless of what you do or do not wear. We shall see if that turns out to be true. Plus we saw more modesty in future Star Trek movies and TV shows. Yeah their is the skorts" in the early seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation and the rebooted Star Trek movie series. In the 21st Century for sure their are blurred lines however and I dont think I need to tell you that Captain Kirk himself was a creeper if not a womanizer. I also dont blame parents who want to protect their debutantes of sorts either but if someone really wanted to hurt them I think they would be more discreet and not so open in their intentions of getting to know young women in a wicked way. Maybe our choice of words should be carefully chosen as well. Rest assured I do my best to treat women as people that do deserve respect like everyone else. Again unless proven otherwise lay off Biden just a bit. Now maybe he needs to respect a womans space and likely has some difficulty their. I can relate to that. Maybe applying the May I Please and Thank You" rules can help a little if his curiosity radar is detecting something high such as the aroma of what a woman has on or whatever. Still as matter of public policy especially when it comes to fiscal and cultural issues of the Democratic Party I still would do everything I could to see Joe Biden defeated in 2020 should he come out as the Democratic choice for POTUS. Being a man who can act creepy at times should not disqualify him. It did not disqualify Captain James T. Kirk for sure lol.
