The Biggest Lie: Conservatives get out the Vote. It simply isn’t true.
You could be just as frustrated as I am with our Conservative brethren because, unlike us, they don’t actually vote. But we MUST make sure they participate this election.
The numbers are just plain annoying. Actually, they make me angry because the numbers don’t equate to votes. Rush Limbaugh has 15.5 million unique listeners a week. The Top-ten radio shows equal 95 million listeners.
Even with people listening to multiple show hosts, the numbers are still very high. Let’s say the average person listens to three different individuals a week; we would have 32 million, radio-listening voters!
What could be more annoying? The 800 million visits the Top Ten Right-Leaning Websites receive during a month. There isn’t a “perfect” way to know how many times a single person visits the same site day-after-day. But if the average individual “hits” a site 300 times a month – 10 times per day – we are looking at another 25 million possible voters.
Or maybe, while listening to the radio, people are clicking away and visiting Websites over-and-over? Maybe they have two radios on and are visiting multiple sites simultaneously through both a laptop and Smartphone? These absurd scenarios still don’t take into account the Conservatives who do very little or none of the above. Think about it: I know people - sure you do, too - who never listen to talk radio or surf the Web. Yet, they vote every election for the Republican candidates.
Which brings me back to the reality of the situation:
President Trump only received 63 million votes last election. 63 MILLION. Sounds like a lot, but it isn’t.
Over 100 million didn’t even bother to vote. And Hillary received over 66 million.
So people listen to Rush, click on Fox News and maybe watch Tucker in the evening. Who cares? Is it white noise? The quickest way to find a story you agree with?
What part of voting are you not getting? You can listen all day and read every story, but it doesn’t count for anything if you can’t figure out the Voting part.
And it isn’t enough just to go vote yourself. You need to get at least one other person to vote, too. Explain to them Joe Biden is a serial liar – the examples are actually quite funny. Or on the not-so-funny side, serious ideas the Liberal Left want to implement. Regardless, you have enough information to make a very strong case on why voting for President Trump is so important.
Why the huge disconnect between “acting” like a Conservative and “voting” like one? Apathy, Ignorance… who really knows what goes through a non-voters’ head. You tell me.
Just because you vote for Trump doesn’t mean you have to marry him. Yes, he is egotistical, bombastic and sends out worse Twitters than a Jr. High kid. But he has also done a pretty good job running the country the past three plus years. Or does he so offend your Conservative sensibilities you simply can’t vote for him?
Get over yourself. Face reality. There isn’t “another” Republican running for President. And every Conservative representative and senator you choose not to vote for? Just gives the Liberals more ability to push through their agenda. That is the ultimate way to make a point, Sparky.
What happens after the Election? If Trump doesn’t win with a clear mandate and keep the Senate, we are looking at four years of chaos. All because Conservatives can’t get off their high-horse and vote. PATHETIC. But you can still listen to your shows, read stories that back your beliefs and complain. Maybe even talk about the next election. Yep. We will get them next time!
Good luck with that plan. It worked so well against Obama the second time.
“Nobody will ever deprive the American people of the right to vote except the American people themselves and the only way they could do this is by not voting.”
– Franklin D. Roosevelt
Vote. And Make Damn Sure Your Friends Do, Too.
