Soon, if Democrats have their way, your local police department will be defunded or disbanded due to inherent racial prejudices. It isn’t clear how order will be maintained in the absence of the police. What is clear is the vacuum created by their absence would be equal to the one that exists in the craniums of liberal progressives nationwide who are making this demand.As Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer take a knee in support of this radical idea they are bowing to the most extreme elements in their party. They are not bowing to reason, not to logic, but rather to their hellish master who wants the anarchy and chaos this idea causes.
Welcome to the Democrat’s hell-scape vision for America. A nation where lawless, hate-filled, thugs can run wild in obedience to their baser instincts. The good news is that the notion of a no-police environment is exclusive to the most liberal cities in America. You can find them right now, they’re the ones on fire, follow the smoke.
Seattle, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, etc. The flames of looted buildings and pillaged police cruisers are proof positive that peace can only be obtained by abandoning them to rioters. Law-abiding Americans of every racial, ethnic, and sexual orientation are fleeing these outer circles of hell repeating the last line from Joseph Conrad’s novel ‘The Heart of Darkness’, “The horror! The horror!”
Anybody with the brains of a chipmunk knows you can’t quell riots by eliminating the police. If this were true, we could eliminate cows by doing away with milk. One does not necessarily lead to the other.
Let us review the clear-headed thinking the leaders of this movement to defund or disband police departments are offering. Lisa Bender, Minneapolis City Council President, and a member of the Minnesota Democrat Farmer Labor Party, says, “In Minneapolis and in cities across the US, it is clear that our system of policing is not keeping our communities safe. Our commitment is to end policing as we know it and to recreate systems of public safety that actually keep us safe.”
To sum up, Ms. Bender claims increased safety comes from the absence of policing. In a related note Bender has ended hunger by making everyone not hungry.
The Left’s greatest voice of reason, Ihan Omar, followed up Bender’s outrageous suggestions with her own intemperate thoughts, “The Minneapolis Police Department is rotten to the root, and so when we dismantle it, we get rid of that cancer, and we allow for something beautiful to rise, and that re-magining allows us to figure out what public safety looks like for us.”
Of course, by “us” she does not mean you. You are the problem and have no part in her solution.
This level-headed font of wisdom seeks the immediate dismantling of the Minneapolis Police Department and will replace it with a “re-imagined” “figuring” of “what public safety looks like.” I imagine it looks a lot like the rioting we’ve been seeing.
Democrat mayors across the nation have restrained their respective law enforcement agencies throughout this time and allowed looting and rioting to occur. The lawlessness occurring as a result is what would happen if police officers are replaced with “community safety officers”. To end the riots these liberal lunatics, propose more rioting.
These nincompoops believe criminals, free from fear of apprehension, will choose to obey the social contract and the law in an environment in which the police are absent. Under this paradigm of public safety your home won’t be burglarized because you will have nothing left to steal.
Reform of the policies or tactics that led to George Floyd’s death is the way to honor his life. Meaningful change in the relationship between police and minority communities can't occur if the police are defunded. Better relations can't occur if one side of the equation is eliminated. All the absence of the police does is expose the communities whose safety we claim to be concerned about to more violence, more poverty, and more hopelessness.
Rather than defunding or disbanding the police the better answer is to do the same to the Democrats.
Defund hate and disband the party that profits from violence and discontent. Take away the power of those whose empty promises have failed generation after generation. A party whose sole aim is to enrich themselves at everyone else’s expense.
Defund politicians who do not believe in your rights unless you are in lockstep obedience to their views. Eradicate those legislators who seek to restrain your rights to freedom of thought and speech. Rid the country of those who champion a system of government where they tell you what you can say, what you can think, and what you can believe.
We need to stop the liberal-progressive creep to a socialistic dystopia, if not we may get what we deserve. What will you do when the voice on the other end when you call 911 is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?
