In the final outcome we must temper the wishes of the DACA recipients with the rules of law. It was Obama who unconstitutionally allowed them to stay an illegal action that President Trump is trying to bring back to the rule of law that this country is based upon. The children involved in DACA through no fault of their own have been placed in an unsustainable position. If President Trump had not stepped in the courts would have found DACA to be unconstitutional and it would have been stopped immediately. President Trump has given the Congress six months to find a solution. Why blame Trump for the unconstitutional actions of the Obama Administration.
It is true as the Democrats are pontificating we are a nation of immigrants. Not mentioned is the fact that we are a nation of legal immigrants. There were challenges to the assimilation of many different groups from Italians to Irish and the subject on black immigration is one that could fill volumes. But it needs to be said that these immigrants came here legally assimilated and did the best they could to improve their station in life as well as those of future generations. We are a nation of immigrants and e are also a nation of laws. Those laws are in place for the good of the country and not for politicians to bend to the social engineering of today. We are a sovereign nation and we have the right to determine who comes to our country.
DACA must be stopped where it is today. There should not be anyone added to the list. When DACA was first passed it actually rewarded lawbreakers and increased the migration of children into our country into astronomical numbers and untold numbers of death cause to children attempting to get here before the cutoff. It also undermined the U.S. Labor markets and hurt millions of American citizens while benefitting the very rich. The progressive/socialists continually claim that these illegal immigrants are also upstanding hard working individuals who pay taxes and are a addition to any neighborhood. The honest truth is that many are but they are bad for the economy and that is appoint that is founded in facts.
Studies have shown that deporting the DACA recipients would possibly decrease the GDP but also showed that per capita GDP and incomes would be markedly higher for American citizens. Jason Richwine an independent policy analyst has shown the DACA recipients are not the high-skill group that the progressive/social Democrats have been touting by showing the lower than average education many have. Numerous studies including on by the National Academies of Science found that prior immigrants and low skilled minorities are the hardest hit of specific labor forces where illegals are prevalent.
The eligibility for DACA is subject to another serious challenge-fraud. Officials at the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) have stated:
Under DACA nearly 800000 illegal aliens were given temporary protected status and work permits to remain in the United States. During that time background screening was very lax. Matt OBrien alleged that fraud was 40 to 50 percent and perhaps even higher."
When fraud was found the chief counsel of USCIS dismissed the recommendation to deny the application close to 98 of the time.
This is nothing new it has been many years since the government has enforced our immigration laws.. The progressive/socialist Democrats want more voters and have decided that giving the illegal immigrants all the benefits they need at the expense of the American taxpayers will keep them in line with the agenda the progressive/socialists have for our country. They have given the illegal immigrants a wide range of benefits from welfare to food stamps to in state tuition at our universities. The Obama administration according to the Fifth Circuit declined to enforce the laws already in place and his executive action
does not transform presence deemed unlawful by Congress into lawful presence and confer eligibility for otherwise unavailable benefits based on the change"
But it isnt just the progressive/socialists that have hammered President Trump for attempting to find a middle ground on DACA. Sally Bradshaw a Jeb Bush advisor excoriated President Trump on the far left Bussfeed calling Trump anti-woman anti-Hispanic anti-black and only out for himself. Other Never Trumpers also have been vocal about DACA and have in their actions and words shown absolutely no concern for the American people. Even Paul Ryan one of the original Never Trumpers has admitted DACA is something that Congress must address. Newsmax has quoted Ryan as saying
This is something that Congress has to fix."
Jeff Sessions explained quite clearly in his speech about rescinding DACA that:
This does not mean they are bad people or that our nations disrespects or demeans them in any way. It means we are properly enforcing our laws as Congress has passed them."
The biggest challenge with DACA is that it undermines the rule of law. The checks and balances that are meant to control the authority of the separate branches of government. The Obama administration usurped the authority of Congress. In 2011 even Obama stated:
for me to simply through the executive order ignore those congressional mandates would not conform with my role as President."
Obama as we all know lied then as he went ahead and did what he claimed he had no constitutional authority to do. Doing his best to accelerate this illegal immigration for votes and has been instrumental in the damage done to Voter ID throughout the states has allowed this constituency to increase the power they hold.
Amnesty is a lure to all those who wish to force their way into the American culture. The 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act which allowed 2.7 illegal legal status led to one of the largest waves of illegal immigration in our history. Not mentioned was President Eisenhower deprting 3 million illegal immigrants which led to the virtual extinction of illegal immigrants crossing our borders for over 30 years.
The Associated Press has now expanded the dialogue by calling these illegal immigrants undocumented citizens".
There are steps that can be done to alleviate thses problems with DACA.
- E Verify must be mandatory. Any business found hiring illegals that does not use E-verify should be highly fined and jailed.
- There can be no chain migration.
- No government benefits for at least the first five yeard. Immigrants musyt be able to show that they can sustain themselves before being allowed into the country.
- All immigration must be based on the ability to show how they would be an asset for the country.
- Visa overstay would be punishable by fines and deportation.
- The RAISE Act is a good starting point for the renovation of the countrys immigration policy
Including border enforcement.
There is more that can be done. DACA and the children caught up in it will be allowed to stay as it should be. But under no circumstances should he estimated 11 million illegals who are in this country and have been seen flipping off the American people and waving Mexican flags and demeaning the American people who give them all the benefits they have are not to be considered in any amnesty policy. They snidely say you cant deport us all". Ask Eisenhower YES WE CAN.
