On the December 1, 2020 Generations Radio podcast, Kevin Swanson and Steve Vaughn (one of his three main recurring co-hosts) discussed the nose dive in church attendance during the 2010’s. Yes friends, the Christian church is truly on the decline and its going to way of much of the world…why? Of course, the Freedom From Religion/Big A Atheists/Freethinkers/Skeptics would tell you that humanity has finally come around and realized that there is no God and that we as the human race are on our own to fend for ourselves and that we must save ourselves.
How do we do that? Well basically just submit to the rising tyranny that promises salvation regardless if that is in science (or rather scientism), supporting an ever-increasing centralized statist government in which it can help humanity evolve to the next level (or just make a few powerful), and the plebs (or whatever they call) just simply bow down to these false gods just because we can see, feel, and hear them in a language we can understand.
We have seen the rise of such nations and/or empires over the years. The most famous empire of the past would be those of ancient Egypt when Moses was alive, Babylonia, and of course the Roman Empire. All fell…eventually. The recent and modern-day empires are called The People’s Republic of China, Venezuela, and Cuba just to name a few. Most of these tyrants have made themselves into little gods. Regardless if that is Xi Jinping (and Mao Zedong before him), Nicolás Maduro (Hugo Chavez before him), and the late Fidel Castro who still is worshiped like a god in Cuba and left a long legacy for that respected nation for better and certainly for worse.
We also as the human race, must allow Mother Nature herself to take dominion over us, and make the animals more equal than the humans if not have more rights than ourselves. In the end, the plebs will once again become slaves to small but a greater class of beings who think they are given the right to life because of their earthly treasures and wealth or just have the worldview to challenge God Almighty himself.
So just what happen? Contrary to the Big A Atheists, we don’t not just “evolve” or come around to the progressives way of think…no way. However, we are cowering to modern day shock troopers that belong to the LGBTQ+ that claim to be one of those respected letters. I strongly believe that the Rainbow Jihad as Steve Deace likes to call them, is as close to an American Gestapo as you can get. They prefer to use the courts taken over by leftist radicals, unlike Antifa who prefer to riot, burn, loot, steal, and plunder.
The state courts of New Mexico are what Kevin Swanson believes is the America Metastasis of the decline in church attendance if not the overall Judeo-Christian faith. The quick decline in church attendance does not change overnight, and Swanson believes the courts of NM got the ball rolling, coupled with the crossover to what Swanson calls “negative culture.” The ushering in of American “negative culture” according to Swanson, began with the case of Elane Photography v. Willock with Vanessa Willock (an open lesbian) winning the case for the Rainbow Jihad. With the Supreme Court of the United States refusing to take it up, rather eventually making same sex marriage legal, the NM Supreme Court’s statement of “price of citizenship” stands, meaning she must go into the lions’ den and honor sexual perversion. She must separate herself from her faith and embrace the emerging macro pagan American culture. So much for the “right to refuse service to anyone.” Is the honoring of homosexuality and alternative lifestyles the closest thing to taking The Mark of the Beast? Truly a $64,000 Question to ponder. I don’t think you could lose your salvation over this, but it comes down to the choice of either honoring God, his Law or neither.
If that court case is truly indeed the case for the decline in church attendance, especially in churches that actually preach the full account of God’s Word…or at least try their darndest, it also shows how cold the Christian church in America is. But as Jesus himself said in the Book of Revelation, he rather have you choose a side rather than sit on the fence (i.e. lukewarm), and if leaving church and appeasing the Rainbow Jihad makes you cold, then it’s a choice that Jesus can respect because you have chosen a side…even if it’s truly the wrong side.
It’s not like God loves persecution, nor does he love his people being persecuted. It’s just that when there is persecution of God’s people (especially when there are attempts to mock, imprison, and even execute them unjustly); a certain remnant of people who went along with Nero (or whoever the demi-god of the moment starts questioning these actions imposed by the demi-god) more often than not, question Nero or the current demi-god who are seeking their own way of salvation, but they don’t want to bend to knee to Jesus Christ nor his Father, rather become God themselves. The questioning remnant continues to grow and eventually choose to join with the Christians in protesting the persecution and becoming Christians themselves.
It’s always in times of extreme persecution that the Christian Church actually grows. Times in which people who seek their own salvation try to obliterate the church off the planet (coupled with many attempts to eliminate the Jewish people as well), in hopes that they can escape God’s judgement and enter eternal life in happiness as well as in their sin. When people like Ron Reagan tell you, they are not afraid to “burn in Hell” …take it seriously from this point on. They enjoy rebelling against God and his Law and when people are trying to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to these ideologues, they just want to “put you out of your misery” as they enjoy their own misery.
Could the COVID-19 pandemic make the church even weaker? Most of our governments (elected and bureaucrat alike) feels that church is non-essential and many have closed down. The Big A Atheists claim that churches and other places of worship are super spreaders, but don’t seem to have a problem with the BLM/Antifa riots or the Joe Biden victory marches. They can only hope that more people will embrace the false gospel of progressivism once this is truly passed…should it ever pass. These people will do anything to redefine God, and what is good and evil…allowing them to do the harm they so desire.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is for everyone. The Jew, gentile, slave, criminal, single, married, and the free man. It’s not just for some people, and it’s a reminder of why God allows a Hell, and that we deserve to burn there. It does not have to be this way…which is why Jesus Christ died on the cross to be the final sin offering.
