After a weekend of wet weather and snow in Colorado, and with so much on my mind, I think its time to do another Random Thoughts piece.
Last Sunday was the Grammys and the only Grammys (with a few exceptions) I care for are the awards not seen on the telly…is telly still a great slang term with the way they are made these days… you know coupled with those streaming services that are freebies on Roku or whatever? Just not sure about that one. One exception that was televised was Harry Styles winning Best Pop Solo male for Watermelon Sugar, which is one of those sexual songs without being vulgar about it. He could not keep the language clean regarding his speech however. While W.A.P. was not nominated for a Grammy (thank goodness for that) sadly that was one of the numbers done at Grammy’s this year. Megan Thee Stallion who collaborate with Cardi B on that great piece of work (not), won the Grammy for Best New Artist. Last year was a bit safer to listen to pop music again…but 2021 is not off to great start for me and pop.
While the leftist elite have no problem with W.A.P, they have decided to point their crooked little fingers towards long time Looney Tune icon Pepe Le Pew. You know the skunk that just wants a mate and gets too desperate and over his head…while the one being chased is really a female cat being mistaken for skunk. So ladies, what is the problem with Pepe? Are any of you fans of Cardi and Megan? If you have answered yes in any part of the second question, I don’t want to hear from any of you…seriously, I really don’t want to hear from you at all…period. Cause as far as I am concerned, you just using Pepe as an excuse to bash men in general for one thing…and second you just looking for someone to blame, and third you just want be on top and in control regarding the bedroom. Whoopi Goldberg who recorded a disclaimer on one of the classic Tom & Jerry DVD collections admits to being a fan of the love sick skunk, and had that scene in Space Jam 2 not been cut, you would have seen Pepe get his just deserts. Goldberg comments regarding Pepe being cut out of the movie;
Couldn't y'all have just written a couple of lines to say, you know, Pepé doesn't do that anymore because he knows it's not OK to jump on other skunks who may not be as interested in him as he is interested? I don't know why you've got to erase everything. I don't get it. I don't understand it.
Really Whoopster, these are your progressive kabl friends trying to make a better world via social engineering and social control. While I feel you on this one, I am not crying crocodile tears with you. Now Pepe is not my all-time favorite in the gallant of Looney Tunes. That honor goes to Road Runner and Wild E. Coyote. Now would get those two canceled? I sure hope not.
Would the estate of Theodor Seuss Geisel (or simply Dr. Seuss) ever ban certain books of their beloved icon had not been for the pressure of Black Lives Matters, Antifa, and other left-wing groups? I think we all can honestly say the answer to that question would be a loud and clear NO. Over the years the left has been critical of conservatives, especially those stumbling blocks of religionist parents who object to classic literature of Mark Twain’s Tom Sawyer or Huck Finn. Remember Lois Lowry and The Giver promoting a dystopia community in which ‘Releasing' to 'Elsewhere' is really euthanasia? Oh, and let us not forget how the kids were eating out of J.K. Rowling’s hand with her series on the Middle later High School wizard Harry Potter. I never heard of him until Bob Larson made a fuss about the book series when he still had his radio talk show, and went off the wall regarding the supernatural…which I don’t disagree with him about on the level…just the way he presented it on his radio program…it can make almost anybody a functional freethinker. He was wise to step away from the mic. These days however, its J.K. who is in the hot seat for questioning Transgenderism.
These leftists have wanted to get a hold of the children and have them question the values that their parents hold dear, and to embrace the progressive values of not only the public-school educators but of the macro world in general. Slowly but surely (put in sock in it, Leslie Nielsen) the left has raised two generations that have embraced their progressive values and going to for a third generation which is ripe on pounding the Judeo-Christian faith into its coffin. This is world that the likes of James A. Haught hope for and dream of. A world in which loose sexual morals (including the allowance of the ‘Dance of the Backsides’) becomes acceptable, bigger central government and humans become Gods and trying to kill off the true God. When they want to cover up the past sins of the left or claim to be socially responsible, THEN they want to censor…regardless of its certain Dr. Seuss books and/or dubbing the voice of Mammy Two Shoes from the classic Tom & Jerry shorts. One last thing, Dr. Seuss has been a progressive icon for years. The disciples of Phyllis Schlafly would warn you about his bad grammar. Yet the Teachers Unions loved the good “doctor.”
Oh, and all you soccer moms, I hoped you enjoyed that speech from President China Joe. Just another President who wished he could be a tyrant like…President Xi or Chairman Mao. So, no Easter celebrations for another year (let us be honest…you will never Easter Celebrations EVER again), but maybe their will be an Independence Day…but forever social distancing. Could social distancing just be another way to pit people against each other as the America left plots its final takeover of America? The price you pay for someone that is closer to Fred Rogers than to someone who was honestly passionate about what he believed in…more/less. Of course Donald Trump shares the blame for going alone with the Flatten the Curve crack which eventually proved to be a con put on by leftist quack doc named Fauci.
