There is a disturbing trend in recent years of transgenders committing or attempting to commit mass shootings. However, unlike when other mass shootings take place, the left has been silent when it comes to calling for banning transgenders from owning guns. Perhaps this is because the left’s most notorious factions are spurring the transgenders into violence, which disturbingly is often directed against conservatives or Christians.
Transgenders commit more mass shootings than their percentage in the population. John Lott, president of the Crime Prevention Research Center, told The Epoch Times, “If you look at mass public shootings since 2018, what you find is about 5 percent of the mass public shooters were trans individuals, and given that their share of the population is about 0.7 percent, they’re obviously overrepresented.”
The reason for the shootings appears likely due to the transgenders suffering from mental illness, which is exploited by left-wing agitators. C. Alan Hopewell, a Fort Worth neuropsychologist, told the news outlet, “My general feeling is that we’re seeing more of it … not for any one factor, but because of several factors all convening, and they’re all amplified by the political rhetoric.” Hopewell said transgender patients often suffer from mental illness, such as depression and anxiety.
Journalist Andy Ngo, a gay man who has been a key figure highlighting violence by transgenders, posted on X, “Notice an uptick in mass shooters & killers… who are trans? You’re not imagining it… they’re encouraging conditions for more trans killers to emerge.” He explained in another post, “Why are we suddenly seeing a wave of trans-identified killers? A surge in violent trans propaganda, lies, grievance-collecting, and socially-encouraged psychosis and militancy.”
