This is the continuation of my series about Bob Enyarts call for a Monarchy in America and its enforcement of Criminal Code based on Old Testament Law. Here are the links to the previous pieces.

Last week Denver media personality/pastor Bob Enyart republished his Proposed Constitution of America in what he calls a Constitutional Monarchy...or not. Their will be a constitution for sure but the sole power belong to a King and man oh man Bob Enyart is passionate about returning us to the days of Kings; believing that this is a true Biblical form of Government. Enyart has a small but loyal audience that has supported him over the years. He had his peaks and valleys but Enyart is able to keep going. His talk program started on various AM Christian Talk stations in the Denver market but then Enyart transition to Christian television when the now defunct KWHD-TV offered Enyart a late night 10 PM slot competing for the most part the local newscasts on the rival channels. Enyart was able to draw enough of an audience in which KWHDs then parent organization (LeSea Broadcasting now called Family Broadcasting Corporation) offered to take the show on their national feed. LeSea/Family Broadcasting Company sold off KWHD in 2010.
Enyarts passions of recriminalization abortion/preborn baby murder Biblical Government and Biblical justice was seen and heard by a large group of people. Enyart however not wanting to look like another beggar on television coupled with losing money rather than making it to keep his program on TV actually ended it. Today Bob Enyart Live continues on a single AM Christian Radio Talk station as it did before (he pays for the airtime and is self-employed) coupled with a website (
kgov.com). By the year 2000 Enyart released his proposed constitution of America on various websites that he owns but took it down in order to focus and recruit people to his personhood of the unborn and/or abortion abolition causes. Recently he put up his Proposed Constitution once again and this time he plans on keeping it up.
Enyarts reasoning for having a King especially under his vision is that; if the King repents then his institutions will become God honoring and that will help America becoming more God honoring. He does admit however that the King does have absolute power and he can do whatever he wants including breaking the constitution (but hey God will hold the King to account when he takes his forever dirt nap). Make no mistake Enyart has put hours into this constitution and he is trying to simplify government and the criminal code. More simplified than the Constitution we live under now and more so than any state constitution that has pages and pages of articles and rules. Enyart calls for the protection of property rights and government staying out of charity (which I would agree with in principle) but why would the King want to do that...unless he truly fears God and understands Enyarts worldview. I am being very honest here.
The reason why our founding fathers declared no more kings" and set up our current government (Enyart says the
Articles of Confederation was never abolished and our current Constitution is unconstitutional) is because of the following. They felt that their was no King other than Jesus Christ himself...King of Kings Lord of Lords. Second our government while it had democratic elements the United States of America is a republic and not a direct democracy with the intent of keeping certain mobs at bay. Direct democracies of any kind dont last long due to human nature being as corrupt that it is. Our founders used basic principles of Holy Scripture and even admitted that their government is for a God fearing people. Now not everyone was honestly born again but they knew that their had to be a good amount of a Fear of God. Otherwise you will have those who will not only challenge Gods authority but his laws which actual benefit people and not harm them.
Let us not forget the
Divine Right of Kings in which it was believed that God loved the King more than his subjects and that God himself gave them absolute power. These kings coupled with those under his direct command wheeled lots of power. A soldier serving under the King could take for himself a wife and marry her (or just sexually exploit her because he just needed some good sex") even if her parents objected to this. All because God loved King George III or whomever more than the common man or the common mans own daughters.
Eventually the earthly King becomes equal or greater than God and that in itself is not Biblical.
Enyart means well with a government that will advance Biblical justice and right but what Gods original intention was not an earthly King but for his own people to be governed by God himself. The people rebelled somewhat and asked for an earthly king and eventually God allowed it to happen and gave the mob of the day an earthly King.
I would not trust anyone to lead a Theonomy styled government other than Jesus Christ. No King but Jesus. It is still true today.
