First off, I don't claim to be a prophet, just an ordinary person of faith who has studied a lot of history both secular and religious. I did teach history for over thirty years and like most people of my generation (Baby Boomers) I have witnessed in horror the steady decline of American civilization. America's iconic, debauchee, Hugh Hefner was a famous libertine during his life but always thought of as being outside our mainstream culture. If he had lived only a few more years he could have been the patriarch of our present culture. His anti-Judeo-Christian vision has now been realized. The most recent Gallup survey, of American attitudes related to sexual morality reveal that over 60% accept homosexual rights, producing children outside marriage, and divorce. Other questions on the survey showed a significant increase in the acceptance of: polygamy, pornography and sex between teens.
I have notice that the new Biden administration has been very careful to present itself as the friend of people of faith: using the word pray more often and holding candle light ceremonies for the victims of Covid. How much of this is pure optics intended to draw people of faith into their political tent remains to be seen. Many of their decisions so far have worked against the interest of the religiously minded. Their 1.9 trillion dollar recovery package reveals a more cynical intent. The largest amount of the money goes to people who don't need it. Instead of focusing the aid on those who need it (the bottom 20%) the Democrats are spreading it out in a huge vote buying scheme anticipating future elections. Instead of spending on infra-structure which would truly provide jobs for the working class they have opted for paying people not to work. The big decline in Covid cases which started January 11th before Biden took office is now being recast as his major achievement. Biden's role as president has been confinded to being a figure head and "consoler in chief". The Democratic plan for the restructuring (or destruction) of America is yet to come. No one should be so foolish as to underestimate the damage that a determined left-wing party can accomplish in four years. They are serious enemies of traditional America and they aim to prove it.
Republicans post-Trump, are faced with the question, "What do we do next?" When I see self-destructive division in the Republican Party coupled with the insatiable, full-speed ahead determination of the Democrats to implement their radical social progam I know that our traditional American culture may be doomed. The only thing that might save us is a third religious "Great Awakening" like those which took place in the 18th and early 19th centuries. After all America's problems are really cultural and only a cultural solution will solve them. The Democratic Party since the 1960's has either intentionally or mistakenly been the political leaders of America's moral/spiritual decline.
What other major political party has so gleefully supported the right to be openly perverse? What other party has fought so tenaciously for the right to exterminate the unborn? Are has been so expert at pressing the "hot-button" issues of racial and gender animosity?What party has been almost exclusively the party of secular-humanist "Holly wood"?Their "Identity Politics" and "Cancel Culture"are cause and effect and in the name of tolerance they have given birth to the most dogmatic and uncivil, left-wing movements in American history (BLM and Antifa).
If there is a Devil (and I do believe in a super-personal source of evil) what better plan could he devise to destroy America's Judeo-Christian culture than to give someone like Donald Trump short term power (4 years) to bring about and over-reaction that would result in the Democrats gaining permanent control. In literary terms voting for Trump was a "Faustian Bargain". Honest, America loving , religious minded, conservative people in 2016 were faced with a bitter choice between having a thoroughly immoral man lead the Republican Party or allowing the sworn enemy of Judeo-Christian culture (the Democratic Party) take power. I don't blame those who voted for Trump but the result was in exchange for, "A short season of pleasure" (4 years of conservative policies) we may have given the left-wing Democrats permanent rule. The Devil is very clever. He plays chess, while human being play checkers. He uses our righteous desires and good intentions against us. He got us to wrap our hearts and minds around a false Messiah only to use that fatal choice to repudiate conservative beliefs in general.
The evil Marxists even have a name for this strategy, they call it the "Whip Lass Theory". Basically the idea is you promote discord and disaster and then wait for a natural reaction which brings you power in the end. The Communist leader Lenin observed the harvest failure in Russia during the 1920's , which causes millions to starve and said it "... served a progressive function". Like the Devil Lenin played the long game. He waited for the discontent that eventually brought him to power. Before Trump was elected we could only see as far as the next four years. Before his election Christian opinion and secular opinion was divided along the lines of the "Bad Man or the Bad Party", "Trump vs The Democrats". Some on the Christian Right used their knowledge of the Bible to justify voting for Trump. They used the example of the ancient Persian king Cyrus who although a pagan was used by the Hebrew God to free his people and allow them to return to the Holy Land after a long exile. Based upon this Biblical story these religious conservatives reasoned that God could also use Donald Trump to fulfill his greater agenda: saving America from socialism, secular-humanism and neo-paganism. On the other side of the argument other conservatives were not willing to take this leap of faith. Other secular conservatives argued in favor of voting for Trump based upon a theory as old as the Italian Renaissance: Niccolo Machiavelli's political theory that the "End justifies the means". The only problem with that theory besides its cynicism is that it is often wrong. The end result of any process is always conditioned by its means. Means and ends are never easily separated. Most of the conservative benefits gained under Donald Trumps presidency are now being rolled back by Biden's executive orders. The Democratic Party now has a full-head of steam and is preparing to roll over the Constitution, our system of voting and our traditional American culture. If the Devil used Donald Trump as a false prophet he is not the greatest or last to be used. The Biden administration which is now promising America a bright future of harmony, prosperity if we willing abandon our faith in America's past is the greatest and final false prophet.
