COVID-19 Thoughts Part 97: Next Time you Vote...Fear God...Not the Republican Party or the Democratic Party

Political pragmatics past and present will keep telling conservatives you must forever be part of the Republican Party.

You must work within the party, you must be a team player, you must vote Republican…even…if you hate certain candidates.  We must win the political contests, no matter what the cost.  At least with Republicans you will have coal, oil, more money in your pocket.

That may be all well and true, but does it actually help America become more righteous, more healthy, more prosperous, more respected?  The likes of Kurt Schlichter, Mike Rosen, Hugh Hewitt, the late Phyllis Schlafly, and even those who I like from Dinesh D'Souza, Dennis Prager, Allie Beth Stuckey, to Matt Walsh would echo the very same thing.  The more they echo, the more I see America’s House of Cards beginning to fall (and I don’t mean the hit TV series that started the disgraced Kevin Spacey).

Let me say upfront that I am not saying that you should never vote Republican ever again.  What I am saying is that you need to honor Exodus 18:21 first and foremost.  “…look for able men from all the people, men who fear God, who are trustworthy and hate a bribe, and place such men over the people as chiefs of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens.”  Even if you don’t call yourself a Jew and/or a Christian you can see common sense in this passage of scripture.  You need to look for people who fear God first and foremost to lead tribes, communities, cities, and countries.  It is those kinds of people that will not only honor God’s Law, but will also honor the God given liberties and freedom that the founders of America envisioned.  Now our founders of America did not want Christianity to be the state religion, but they wanted its principles to be honored and passed on down.   It is the reasonability of the common people to maintain their Fear of God, and to hold their leaders accountable to certain laws of God that benefit the common people and maintain a stable society.

But there is a devil, and there is something called apostacy.  It’s a deadly combo that can take any society down; from ancient Egypt, to the Roman Empire, to even Great Britain, and eventually the United States of America.   History also points out that once an institution gets corrupted, it’s practically impossible to reform it.  It must burn to the ground and/or be liquidated.  This is why you could not take back the Roman Catholic Church.  Martin Luther had to separate, coupled with the fact they wanted him executed for heresy against the Catholic Church.  Luther began the western protestant movement, and the only reason for the original splits in the protestant church were on minor differences regarding Christian doctrine.  In recent years however the splits in the Christian Church occurred because of the church embracing teachings that were not grounded in the Bible, in more so by the “spirit of the age.”  Basically, that current spirit is grounded in the teachings of modern progressivism which is grounded in liberal/leftist political worldviews.  Most of your mainline churches basically teach a progressive worldview and cherry-pick the scripture to justify their teachings of love and human rights…even if it goes against the Word of God.

Certain church leaders have worked hard to push back against the progressive ideology and dogma, but in the end, they forced to leave the church body and start anew.  You can’t use old sheep skins for new wine.  You have to use brand spanking new sheep skins.  The new skins don’t break as easy.  The old institutions that embraced bad teaching must be evacuated and left to burn to a crisp, as they claim to have new truths especially in the current age of the moment.

Eventually the same will have to happen when it comes to American Politics.  The Republican Party only survived in recent years because of those who kept telling us it’s the only way to make a difference.  Regardless if it was TR or RP messing things up as third party or independent candidates.  What really helped both the Democratic and even the Republican Parties stay intact is not really Teddy Roosevelt or Ross Perot, but a French jurist, sociologist, political scientist, and lest we forget a proud communist (who loved the old Soviet Union with a passion) in good standing; Maurice Duverger.  While Duverger’s Law points out that politically alliances are made, forcing people to join a movement and/or a political party they would normally avoid; eventually these alliances have become long term in order for certain party and its personalities to win political contests and the ability to have some form a political power.

Because of this we have treated politics in way that not rational at all.  The focus is always, in the word of Charlie Sheen; “Winning.”  Because of this we are willing to eat our own, on both sides of the political spectrum with both the Republican and Democratic parties play this to the tee so that we can “Win.”  The Democrats play their class, race, and faith warfare cards to get the “oppressed” to go along with what the Democrats want; and Republicans do what it takes to get honest conservatives to vote for them…even though they hate many of the people in their base.

The people of Faith especially need to take a stand against Duverger’s Law once and for all.  Otherwise, America will have no future.  That does not mean you have to leave the Republican Party or always vote third party or use the write in blank.  What that means is you allow God himself and his Law to take priority over your voting decisions, couple that with your faith on God and trust in his will for better or worse.  It also means that if you are dealt with a bad candidate, you don’t just vote them in because he/she was the choice made by the Republican mob.  The minim requirements to back a candidate is that the candidate fears God and/or nature’s God and doesn’t get bribed by dishonest and/or evil people.  Also, the candidate honors the later six commandments of God and I don’t care what the Big A Atheists say.

The later six commandments are universal and common sense regardless of your faith.  As far as I am concerned, the Big A Atheists have proven that they not just want certain forms of murder legal (abortion and euthanasia for the old are only the beginning), but to allow for certain kinds of theft to take place (likely in the name of government taking care of the people)…along with loose sexual morals and figuring out ways to abolish the traditional family and the faith.
It’s time to trust God, and not be as confident in our own personal power.  Believe it or not, that truth is the heart of The Bible.  The exact middle verse of the Bible (Psalm 118:8).
